I literally made the point of not blaming people like your brother, but the people who put him at risk unnessirily, I'm guessing maybe you didn't make it that far in the piece?
I have spent the last year writing to educate people and help them stay safe, as well as designing and making home masks that are safer and more comfortable to use, which I've also written about.
I suspect that, as someone who is caught between two political worldviews, it's hard to hear someone point out the thing you're already living -- but I'm pointing it out, not creating it. I don't want to feel this way, but the wound is there and it can't be denied. I wrote this because I was pretty sure that wound is there for a lot of people, and not talking about it won't make it go away.
